Executive Committee Minutes 1930-1960.

Contains microfilmed minutes of the meetings of the Executive Committee of the American Lutheran Church. These were recorded by the secretary of the Executive Committee and show his signature at the bottem of each set of minutes. The minutes from 1943 on contain some agendas and agenda materials, but not all of the meeting agendas from that date forward are included.

The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church. Representatives from each of the constitutent churches formed the Joint Union Committee in 1950 to effect the merger. Presidents of the constituent bodies at the merger were Henry F.
